Welcome to YumBook. By accessing or using our website and reservation services, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions (“T&C”). These terms are designed to ensure transparency and a smooth experience for both customers and restaurant partners.
 

1. Reservation Fee and Service Scope
The USD $20 per person reservation service fee is non-refundable in cases of change of mind or personal schedule changes.
This fee covers YumBook’s reservation coordination, communication with the restaurant, scheduling support, and platform operation services.

Refunds for Other Payments
If a prepaid deposit or any additional payment is refunded, the payment processing fee charged by the payment gateway will be deducted from the refund amount.
This processing fee is not returned by the payment provider when a refund is issued.

For international card payments, a card processing fee of approximately 4% may apply.
Therefore, refunds will be issued minus the applicable processing fee.

2. Restaurant Deposit

Certain restaurants may require an additional deposit of USD $30 – $50 per guest to secure a reservation. Once your booking is accepted, a payment link will be provided. If the deposit is not completed at least 30 days before your scheduled visit, the reservation may be cancelled automatically. The deposit will be deducted from your final restaurant bill, or fully refunded if the restaurant cannot confirm your booking.

3. Cancellations and No-Show Policy

To cancel or change your reservation, please notify YumBook or the restaurant at least 48 hours before the scheduled time. Late cancellations or failure to appear may result in a no-show charge, which can be equivalent to the deposit or full meal price depending on the restaurant’s policy.

4. Payments and Security

All payments are processed securely via Stripe or other authorized payment partners. YumBook does not store full credit card information. All transactions are encrypted and handled in compliance with international PCI-DSS security standards.

5. Personal Data and Privacy

YumBook collects limited personal data—such as your name, contact information, and booking details—solely for reservation and confirmation purposes. Your information may be shared only with the restaurant you have booked to facilitate your visit. YumBook never sells or discloses customer data to unauthorized third parties. All personal data is securely deleted upon service completion or upon your request.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information when making a reservation and to respect each restaurant’s dining policies, arrival times, and cancellation terms. YumBook reserves the right to restrict or cancel future bookings in cases of repeated no-shows or fraudulent activity.

7. Service Modification and Availability

YumBook may update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on this page. Service features, participating restaurants, and pricing may also change without prior notice.

8. Liability Disclaimer

YumBook acts as an intermediary between customers and restaurants. While we strive to ensure accurate information and smooth service, YumBook is not liable for disputes, damages, or losses arising directly from restaurant operations, menu availability, or dining experiences.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
