Refund Policy
At YumBook, we aim to provide a seamless and transparent dining reservation experience.
Because our platform connects customers with premium restaurants and manages prepayments or deposits on behalf of them, the following refund policy applies to all reservations made through YumBook.
1. Reservation Fee
The USD $20 per person reservation service fee is non-refundable in cases of change of mind or personal schedule changes.
This fee covers YumBook’s reservation coordination, communication with the restaurant, scheduling support, and platform operation services.
Refunds for Other Payments
If a prepaid deposit or any additional payment is refunded, the payment processing fee charged by the payment gateway will be deducted from the refund amount.
This processing fee is not returned by the payment provider when a refund is issued.
For international card payments, a card processing fee of approximately 4% may apply.
Therefore, refunds will be issued minus the applicable processing fee.
2. Restaurant Deposit
Some restaurants require an additional deposit (typically USD $30–$50 per guest) to confirm the reservation.
Once your booking is accepted and a payment link is issued:

If the restaurant is unable to confirm your reservation, the deposit will be fully refunded.

If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before the reserved date, you may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on the restaurant’s policy.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the reservation date or no-shows are non-refundable, as restaurants may have already prepared ingredients or blocked seats for your visit.
All refunds related to restaurant deposits will be processed directly to your original payment method within 7–10 business days after confirmation.
3. Changes or Cancellations by the Restaurant
If a restaurant cancels or modifies your confirmed reservation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., private event, weather, or safety issues),
you will be entitled to a full refund of the restaurant deposit.
YumBook will notify you promptly and, if available, assist in arranging an alternative booking at no extra charge.
4. Refund Processing
Refunds are issued to the same payment method used during the booking.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or credit card issuer).
Once a refund has been initiated, you will receive a confirmation email from YumBook or our payment processor.
5. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

Failure to show up on time without prior notice (“no-show”)

Incorrect or incomplete personal details that prevent confirmation

Violations of the restaurant’s reservation or conduct policies

Cancellations outside the allowable period set by the restaurant
