In Yongsan, Seoul, amidst the concrete high-rises and busy streets, sits an old house that looks straight out of a fairy tale. This is Dotori (Acorn) Yongsan, a special cafe that offers more than just coffee—it delivers a whimsical, charming experience reminiscent of stepping into a Studio Ghibli animation.

The cafe, renovated from an old dwelling, features rough wood textures, warm lighting, and the charming blue mascot, 'Torii,' hidden throughout. It creates a distinctly cozy atmosphere, making you feel invited into a cabin deep within a forest, perhaps inhabited by small fairies. The exotic yet comforting feel instantly transports you from your busy Seoul life, offering a momentary pause to dream.

On the first floor, freshly baked acorn-shaped madeleines and thick Greek yogurt bowls captivate the eye. Ascending to the second floor, you'll find attic-like seating areas that are perfect for intimate conversations. When you need to rediscover your childlike wonder in the city, Dotori Yongsan is the most perfect retreat.

☕ The Charm of the Space and Menu

Dotori Yongsan features a harmonious blend of the bakery display on the first floor, a terrace, and the attic-like space on the second floor, creating photo opportunities everywhere. As shown in the menus, the main attractions are undoubtedly the Greek yogurt and yogurt ice cream.

  • Signature Yogurt Bowls: Options like the 'Real Honey' bowl, topped with an entire piece of honeycomb, 'Real Strawberry,' and 'Real Figs Pistachios' are healthy and visually stunning options packed with seasonal fruit. (Price Range: KRW 14,500 ~ 18,500)

  • Brunch & Bakery: The warm Mushroom Potato Soup and the Pretzel Brunch (featuring chewy pretzels and scrambled eggs) make excellent meal replacements. The cafe's iconic 'Dotori Madeleines' (acorn-shaped) are highly popular as souvenirs due to their adorable appearance.

  • Drinks: Besides the Honeycomb Grain Latte and healthy juices like Kale Pine Day, they offer Decaf Coffee (+500 KRW), a great choice for those sensitive to caffeine.

Especially on a beautiful day, enjoying a yogurt bowl on the outdoor terrace, bathed in sunlight, feels like a serene getaway to a European countryside village.
