In the food alleys of Haengdang-dong, Seongdong-gu, near Wangsimni Station, there is a special space that goes beyond an ordinary cafe, making you feel as if you've visited a secret friend's vintage attic. This is the 16-year-old traditional dessert cafe, Bongsunine Darakbang (also affectionately known as Bongdabang).
Holding its ground in Wangsimni for a long time, this place offers a warm aesthetic with its uniquely retro and vintage interior. Across its various spaces—from the 1st-floor outdoor terrace down to the basement drum studio—it gently guides everyone to easily and colorfully experience the charm of diverse seasonal desserts and a truly fun ordering system without any barriers.
📍 Location & How to Get There
Located at 13-1 Wangsimni-ro 21-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, occupying the entire building. It offers excellent accessibility, being just a 5-minute walk from Wangsimni Station Exit 10 or 11, a massive transit hub connecting four subway lines (Lines 2, 5, Suin-Bundang, and Gyeongui-Jungang). As you step slightly into the food alley, the building exuding a vintage vibe and its 1st-floor terrace will immediately catch your eye.

☕ Ambience & Menu Highlights
Bongsunine Darakbang is diversely structured with a 1st-floor terrace, a 2nd-floor ordering and cafe space with large windows, a 3rd-floor rooftop-style attic, and a basement band practice room ("Drum-Chineun Gampang"). It sets a warm analog mood for photos wherever you stand.
Seasonal Fruit Desserts: The absolute highlight here is the experience of enjoying desserts generously loaded with ingredients. Their 'Croffle' (perfectly crispy outside, chewy inside) and dense 'Cheesecake' lineups feature an abundance of fresh seasonal ingredients—fresh strawberries and Chonhyehyang oranges in winter/spring, peaches and green grapes in summer, and figs in autumn—satisfying both great value and a special gourmet experience.
Diverse Drink Lineup: With a wide spectrum of choices ranging from clean Americanos and rich lattes to fruit juices, frappuccinos, and herbal teas, they boast flavors charming enough to make even coffee beginners or non-coffee drinkers fall completely in love.
🌿 Why Visit
Celeb Name Tag Ordering System: Instead of an ordinary vibrating buzzer, you receive a wooden plaque with a celebrity's name on it (like IU, Park Seo-joon, or Song Hye-kyo). When your menu is ready, they call out that name over the broadcast—a fun and unique experience!
Aesthetic Attic Vibe: A hip space blending vintage props accumulated over 16 years with warm orange lighting, making it the perfect spot for aesthetic photos.
Unique Complex Space: If you are lucky, you can get a glimpse into the unique charm of the basement 'Drum-Chineun Gampang' (Drumming Prison) space as well.
Tip: Choosing the name tag of your favorite celebrity when ordering to create a fun role-play scenario, and taking a photo with the fruit-loaded seasonal croffle as the centerpiece, is an absolute must-do course here!
🚗 Travel Tips
About a 5-minute walk from Wangsimni Station Exit 10 or 11.
Due to the nature of the busy food alley, dedicated parking at the store is extremely difficult. If you are driving, it is most convenient to use the Seongdong-gu Office Public Parking Lot or the Wangsimni Station Private Parking Lot (both within walking distance).
Bongsunine Darakbang hasn't just occupied a spot for 16 years; it has shattered the prejudice of typical cafes, elevating desserts into sweet art and a joyful form of play. Taste fragrant coffee and seasonal croffles in a warm vintage space, and create unforgettable, fun, and sweet moments with your loved ones.
